Free Write
The purpose of a Free Write is to become centered and present for the learning that is about to begin. It grounds us—gives us time to breathe and hear ourselves think so that we're able to dim the static we bring to class. To get started ask yourself:
What’s on my mind that needs acknowledgment to be set aside for the moment.
If there is still time in the Free Write, here are a few things you can do to fill the time:
- Free Write Prompt: Respond to the prompt below.
Choose the Curio, Memento, or Snippet from your awe walk. Write about it.
- Write a creative piece that you continue building on.
- Prepare for class and review your reading and annotations.
